Monday 8th February - DPAS and Cohen Cramer announce free seminar concerning PDS Plus Contract
On Thursday 4th March DPAS and Cohen Cramer will be holding a seminar, entitled ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’, concerning the controversial PDS Plus contract. The seminar offers dentists some free expert advice on the pros and cons of the contract, as well as suggesting some alternative schemes. Friday 11th December - What's your practice's goal? New FGYP date in the back of the net
As demand increases across the UK for the Further Growing Your Practice seminar series, DPAS have now booked a fifth date at another unique venue. On 26th March speakers including Ashley Latter and Sheila Scott will make their way to Newcastle United's St James' Park to deliver yet another thought provoking day of training and advice to teams from dental practices across the North East. Wednesday 23rd September – Further Growing Your Practice seminar a huge success!
Last Friday saw the launch of our all-day Further Growing Your Practice seminar series at Leigh Court, Bristol. Delegates enjoyed a day of informative lectures from leading industry experts, fine dining and the opportunity to network with other local dental professionals. One Practice Manger commented that the lectures had transformed the way that the dentist approached sales within the practice, while others also expressed their delight at being able to talk face-to-face with the DPAS team. Monday 17th August - Further Growing Your Practice heading to Brighton and Manchester
Due to overwhelming demand across the UK, we can now announce that our all new super seminar series will be coming to Brighton and Manchester in 2010. Monday 18th May – Visit DPAS at the 2009 BDA Conference and Exhibition in Glasgow

DPAS will be on stand A60 at this year’s BDA Conference and Exhibition, held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow. Running from 4th - 6th of June 2009, this year’s event will feature a variety of motivational and advisory seminars designed to help dentists overcome the current financial conditions that so many practices throughout the UK are facing. Our newly launched implant insurance, as well as our interactive children’s website, designed to give children a better understanding of dentistry and oral health care, will both feature on the stand A60, along with our unique offering of tailor made payment plans, membership plans and children’s plans, each designed to enhance the attraction and retention of private patients.

Wednesday 22nd April – Dates announced for Growing Your Practice Seminars in 2009

DPAS are delighted to announce that the extremely successful Growing Your Practice Seminar series will return this spring, with the first event being held at the luxurious Woodlands Hotel in Leeds, on 21st May. Delegates will enjoy an evening of presentations from industry professionals and the chance to network with other local dentists, as well as being treated to a three-course meal and receiving three hours CPD. Thursday 19th March – Partners in Dentistry Conference at Place Farm

On Thursday 19th March DPAS welcomed around thirty of the dental world’s leading professionals to Place Farm, for a conference focused on the future of dental plans in the UK and the role that they can play in improving the nation’s dental provision in years to come. The event began with presentations from DPAS’ Chairman, Quentin Skinner, and his board of directors, culminating in an extremely positive afternoon discussion and open forum.

Saturday 14th March – The Dentistry Show

On the 13th and 14th March DPAS attended the Dentistry Show at the NEC in Birmingham and had a very successful event. Friday saw the staff actively supporting Comic Relief, selling red noses to dentists from the stand.

Friday 13th March – Red Nose Day

As an officially recognised fundraiser for Comic Relief, DPAS got into the spirit of doing something ‘funny for money’. With staff dressed up as Wombles, superheroes, ladybirds and all things scary (a ‘red or dead’ theme was devised) the office staff got on with raising money. There was a charity sweepstake of the Cheltenham races, cakes for sale, jokes on the hour and Wombles entering the village of Tisbury with red noses and an open hand. Everyone was extremely generous and DPAS managed to raise well over £500.

Monday 2nd March – gr8smileclub goes live

DPAS’ children’s website was launched today. The website is highly creative, fun and educational, teaching children all about dentistry and how to achieve good oral hygiene. The whole game is based in a dental surgery, where children can collect teeth for reading facts and playing games, winning access to brushing charts, pictures to colour in and a competition at the end. The website is designed to make the trip to the dentist more fun and less daunting for children. The parents area includes FAQ’s and ‘Fun Stuff’ to print, which can help parents reward children for taking an active interest in their teeth and for behaving when going to the dentist. Monday 2nd March – Dental Implant Accident Protection Policy Launched

A new Dental Implant Accident Protection policy is now available to all patients with implants, who are on a DPAS administered plan.

Friday 30th January – DPAS Growing Your Practice Seminars in 2009

DPAS held the first Growing Your Practice seminar of 2009 in Glasgow last night. The event was attended by numerous dental practitioners who were provided with an evening of business and marketing advice, accompanied by a delicious meal at the Hotel Du Vin.
April 2009 will see the seminar series taking on a new format, with a number of larger events taking place across the UK. Check the News and Events sections on the DPAS website nearer the time for more information.

Wednesday 17th December - A successful seminar series

December 11th saw the last seminar of this year’s Growing Your Practice and Further Growing Your Practice seminar series. This was DPAS’ first seminar series and proved to be a huge success. A new seminar series will be held in 2009, and DPAS look forward to seeing you there.

Tuesday 16th December - DPAS hosts their First Annual Press Day

Members of the dental press were welcomed to the DPAS Tisbury offices for an informal presentation and tour of the recently expanded office complex. They were given the opportunity to meet and talk to all the directors and were sent off with a warming glass of mulled wine and mince pies for their journey home on the cold December evening.

Tuesday 25th November - DPAS in “The Times”

DPAS got full page coverage in “The Times” on Tuesday 25th November due to some very relevant Primary Care Trust Research.
