Wednesday 26th October – Buying the Right Dental Business
Aimed at associates seeking to purchase their first practice, DPAS will be presenting at the Dentist Seminar ‘Buying the Right Dental Business’ on the 18th November. The seminar will cover the many aspects requiring consideration when first purchasing a dental practice, including presentations on topics such as finance and capital, identifying profitable investments, goodwill values and the advantages of practice-branded patient plans. Monday 24th October – 15 years of DPAS celebrated at BDTA Dental Showcase
DPAS enjoyed another very successful year at the BDTA Dental Showcase last week, with our 15th anniversary celebrations being well received and contributing to a fantastic atmosphere on our stand. Thank you to all of those that came to see us. Our interactive game proved to be very popular, as did the cake and bubbly we served daily at 15:15! Our giant 15th Anniversary card is also full of signatures and comments from our customers, attesting to the excellent service that we’ve been providing to dental practices since 1996. Tuesday 4th October - BDTA Dental Showcase and Exhibition
DPAS is inviting visitors to this year’s Dental Showcase to join them on Stand B22 for cake, games and prizes in celebration of the company’s 15th anniversary. We’ve come a long way since 1996, but we have always maintained our focus on providing you with a comprehensive, cost-effective plan administration service that includes everything you need – and nothing you don’t. Monday 5th September – DPAS Appoint New Finance and IT Director
The DPAS Directors are delighted to announce the appointment of Christine Nicholson to the role of Finance and IT Director. Christine’s wide ranging experience in finance and IT systems management spans nearly 30 years and has been gained in a variety of different market sectors including banking, the military and software development, equipping Christine with a breadth of experience that she is looking forward to applying to the dental plan market. Christine says she plans to undertake “a complete business review that will ensure that strategy and operations are aligned and to make the business operate even more efficiently on every level. This will ensure our front-line delivery to dentists and patients continues to be of the highest quality.”

Wednesday 20th July – DPAS Celebrate 15th Anniversary in Style
DPAS marked 15 successful years with an extremely enjoyable and well-attended event at our offices last Friday. Visitors to Place Farm were treated to lunch, drinks and entertainment from a fantastic band all within a beautiful marquee, as well as taking their chance to soak up the sunshine in the stunning Wiltshire countryside, while gaining an insight into the unique company culture at DPAS. The occasion was marked with a speech from DPAS Chairman, Quentin Skinner, appropriately entitled 15 years in 15 minutes, with the celebrations being concluded with the unveiling of a giant DPAS cake, ceremonially cut by Quentin. Wednesday 13th July – 15th Anniversary of DPAS
This week at DPAS we will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary, ending the week with a well-deserved summer party at our offices in Tisbury, on the beautiful Fontill Estate. Since 1996 DPAS has come a long way from its early beginnings, cementing its place as one of the leading providers of dental plan administration services in an ever changing industry. But we’ve never lost sight of our core values, remaining dedicated to providing a personal, reliable and cost-effective service to our customers, with practice-branding at its heart.

Monday 9th May - DPAS expand Sales Support Team
At DPAS we have recently reviewed the role and structure of our Sales Support department and are delighted to announce a further expansion of our practice support team, with an additional 3 Practice Consultants recruited.
A re-focusing of the team’s role has been largely driven by Sales Director Andrew Warren’s vision of Practice Consultants who emphasise the provision of appropriate advice and guidance to practices who may be struggling to know which way to turn in an increasingly complex market.

“Our duty in the first instance is to listen to the practice, take account of their needs and through our vast experience of the dental industry to help them develop income streams that will provide a strong foundation for future growth.”

Wednesday 20th April – ISO 14001:2004 certification for DPAS
Following months of planning, DPAS have been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 certification for our efforts in reducing our impact on the environment, recognising our commitment to this cause over the long-term. A huge thank you to the ISO 14001 team here at DPAS, who have certainly done their bit to help ensure that the beautiful Wiltshire countryside around our offices can be preserved for the future!

Monday 7th March – DPAS at The Dentistry Show
Another year, another great Dentistry Show for DPAS. Thank you to all those who came along and found the time to drop in at the DPAS stand for a chat. Monday 24th January – ‘MID in Practice’ Seminars
DPAS are proud to be sponsoring a series of full-day seminars about the latest developments within caries management and minimal invasive procedures, presented by Dr Kirkwood Young. During the day delegates will have the opportunity to look at the latest advances in preventive and restorative materials and gain an understanding of how they can benefit their practice and patients alike. The first events in the series will be held at The Cottons Hotel and Spa, Knutsford and The Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa, Leeds during March 2011, with all delegates being awarded 6 hours verifiable CPD. Friday 3rd December – FGDP Study Day
On Friday December over 200 delegates braved the cold and attended the FGDP Study Day at the Glasgow Science Centre, which DPAS were proud to be gold sponsors of. It was an extremely successful day for DPAS and delegates alike, with the DPAS team having the chance to meet with many existing customers and new faces in between some cutting edge presentations from Didier Dietschi and Michel Magne, resulting in a worthwhile trip for all, despite the weather!

Tuesday 12th October – Sign the petition against the implementation of CQC regulation of dentistry on Stand R01 !
DPAS will be using this year’s Dental Showcase to publicise a campaign which is already gaining momentum amongst our client practices, to oppose the implementation of CQC regulation of dentistry. DPAS Chairman, Quentin Skinner, has concluded ‘that the additional burden of the proposed CQC registration and CQC regulation of individual dental professionals amounts to substantial duplication of the existing regulation of the dental profession and is not, on a balance of probabilities, likely to produce any significant improvement either in patient safety or treatment outcomes.' Early responses among DPAS clients has been very encouraging, with 100% backing thus far and Quentin is now calling on practitioners to register their disquiet by signing a petition that will be available on the DPAS stand (R01) at this week's Dental Showcase.

Friday 8th October – Visit DPAS at the BDTA Dental Showcase 2010 and win a team-building day!
Visit DPAS on Stand R01 at this year’s BDTA Dental Showcase at London’s ExCel, on 14th-16th October. Whether you are an existing customer, would like to hear more about our services, or would just like to pop over for a chat, the DPAS team will be on hand throughout the exhibition. Friday 20th August – Insight Seminar series announced
DPAS can now release details about our new free seminar series for existing customers. The ‘Insight Seminar’ series will visit cities across the UK and offer delegates the chance to hear presentations on topics including e-commerce, business planning and increasing patient numbers. Delegates will be awarded 2 hours verifiable CPD for attending the event and will also have the opportunity to meet experts from a wealth of other disciplines and discuss themes such as financial planning, banking/finance and practice valuation. Thursday 12th August – Action Plan 2010-11 seminar series dates announced
DPAS are delighted to announce six dates for a our new free seminar series taking place across the UK in 2010-11. ‘Action Plan 2010-11’ will offer delegates the chance to hear presentations from industry experts such as DPAS’ Andrew Warren and Janice Charlton, as well as Spot On Business Planning’s Andy McDougall. Those attending this event will gain a valuable insight into the benefits of DPAS’ practice-branded dental plans, as well learning about how to boost patient numbers and about the tried and tested, profit-boosting facts revealed by Andy McDougall. Monday 19th April - First date announced for Running the Ultimate Private Practice Seminars in 2010
A new DPAS seminar series entitled 'Running the Ultimate Private Practice' will be visiting cities across the UK this year and we are delighted to announce that the first date will be held at the Caledonian Hilton Hotel, Edinburgh, on 27th May. Monday 8th February - DPAS and Cohen Cramer announce free seminar concerning PDS Plus Contract
On Thursday 4th March DPAS and Cohen Cramer will be holding a seminar, entitled ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’, concerning the controversial PDS Plus contract. The seminar offers dentists some free expert advice on the pros and cons of the contract, as well as suggesting some alternative schemes.
