What does the Dental Implant Accident Protection Policy Provide?
What is the scope of cover?
The policy is designed to cover the cost of the repair or replacement of an existing implant that is damaged due to an accident. It is not designed to cover the cost of the initial fitting of an implant. The failure of an existing implant to successfully integrate with the bone is excluded.
How much does the Dental Implant Accident Protection Policy cost?
Irrespective of the number of existing implants a patient has the annual payment is £25.20 (inclusive of Insurance Premium Tax) payable by Direct Debit to DPAS. For all policyholders, the policy is renewable annually on 1st March. Patients buying the policy will pay a pro rata premium by Direct Debit at the outset, to align with the 1st March renewal date, and then annually thereafter.
Initially, the policy can only be purchased by members of dental plans administered by DPAS.
